A Strong Family Tradition with a Customer Focus
The Tricast/Presfore story began in 1955 with the founding of the Tricast Corporation. Truman Moore became a part time employee for the company in 1957. Finding a natural fit, he soon went full time.
Truman was able to purchase the company in the early 70s, and relocated Tricast to its present Crystal Lake location.
Truman also founded a plunger tip business in the early 80s, and named it Presfore Corp. He later started a large machine shop and called it Tri-Tech Corp. Over the years Truman merged the businesses, and that’s how Tricast/Presfore was born.
Truman served as the company president for more than 40 years, instilling a strong family legacy. Truman’s son David worked in every position within the company from cleaning, shipping, making castings, CNC programming, lathe operations, heat treating, sales and more.
David now owns the company and serves as president, working to ensure the company maintains its traditionally high standards for both its products and customer service. Tricast/Presfore is veteran-owned. David gained professional experience as a welder/firefighter in the United States Navy, spending four years in the service during the first Gulf War from 1987 to 1991.
